Online Appointment System For Passport Applications and Renewals for Filipinos Kuwait City 6th June, 2020: PUBLIC ADVISORY

The Philippine Embassy in Kuwait informs the Filipino community that it`s passport application and renewal service has resumed. Due to the persistent threat of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Kuwait, only a limited number of applicants will be accommodated for passport services through an online appointment system.

Those with confirmed appointments will be accommodated from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM every day, except weekends. Setting an online appointment is FREE OF CHARGE. The Embassy appeals to all Filipinos in Kuwait to apply for passport renewal only if there is an urgent need to do so. As a form of bayanihan in this time of crisis, please give way to those who need to apply or renew their passport in order to renew their residence visas in Kuwait. IMPORTANT

Now Private Companies Can Renew Expats Residence Online KUWAIT CITY, Feb, 10: The Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Residence Affairs, Major General Talal Marafi, announced that residence renewal of Article 18 can be done online starting from next month (March 2020) reports Al Qabas. With newly automated system linked with companies and institutions allows to renew the residence of expatriates online without visiting any of the six governorates residence affairs department. He further stated that each company will have its own password to enter the system and follow the steps to renew the residence for expats without any complications or security breach from hackers. Currently certain employees of companies and institutions are being trained on a new system by MOI staff. Kuwait Civil Service Commission – 22nd November 2018 – holiday

The Civil Service Commission has declared that

Thursday, 22 November 2018 will be an official government holiday

to mark the Birthday of Prophet Mohammed, PBUH. All governments ministries, departments as well as public and private schools, universities and institutions shall remain closed on this day.

The government institution will resume on Sunday, 25th.

Meanwhile, workplaces of unconventional and special nature will determine their holidays as they see fit, a statement issued by the CSC noted.
